Harper,

I had routine blood tests every year at work. I've had a high GGTP for many

years. I took an executive health checkup at Mayo and they ran an antibody

test that showed a positive SMA. That led to a liver biopsy and the diagnosis

of mild AIH.

My son eats Wonder bread. It's okay on the " Do's and Don't's " diet. I found a

better white bread, called " Iron Kids " , and it's made by Sara Lee. They make it

in a crustless version! It has more fiber than Wonder and as much calcium.

I get Barbara's Bakery brand Apple Cinnamon Toasted O's at our local health food

store- those are like Apple Cinnamon Cheerios without all the additives, and a

mild flavor. My son has a problem with malt as well.

You might want to try oat bran, which does not have the same effect.

It's not by it's own, there is also gluten and according to the 2 books, they

are very cleansing which I can attest to and I take a multi vitamin and

colloidal minerals. But, I would love to try them with the oat bran as long as

it is not processed.

Thanks,

Jocelyn,

What could you use with the wheat bran so as not to interfere with mineral

absorption? Would you use the oat bran with it?\

Thanks,

Love,

Sue,

Thank you for the links. I found under KFC that a fried chicken breast

minus the skin and breading is the same as baked. YEAH!! That just gave me a

healthy fast food option if I need it.

about switching to the shots. i dont have a fear of needles or anything but

i

have a few concerns. one is that taking IM injections for the rest of my

life

every week are my muscles going to deteriorate from all that poking? my

mom is a nurse and is really advising me against switching over to the

shots.

she doesnt exactly understand any of what i go through. shes worried that

the

spots that i inject will get all messed up or something. another concern is

my

inability to give myself a shot. im really thinking that i will not be able

to give

myself an IM injection. i dont know...its probably something id have to get

used to. thats pretty much the main worries i have. anything you can tell

me

to help that??

Dear Bklyn,

Your muscles will not deteriorate from an injection once or twice a week and

one really does get used to doing it by themselves. Testosterone by

injection is inexpensive. The biggest problem that I have had with it has been

mood

swings (depression v. irritablity) but that is manageable.

Boy, do I know all too well...."CORRELATION DOES NOT EQUAL CAUSATION"!

( Gerhardt) Many would like to think so, however.
