Guest guest
, I wonder if your Rheumy has RA? Many people don't have the same symptoms as another does. I have some of the symptoms as you do. Say like your body hurts/aches all over. So does mine. I have read a flare can last for years. Well apparently I am having a long lasting flareup because mine began April of 2004 and is still going strong. I had shots in my left knee last year which helped and last month my Dr. which is a DO ordered Physical Therapy. I started that last week. My PT said he thinks I need Water Therapy also. Your symptoms is also tiredness. I stay tired just about all the time. It takes everything I have in me to raise up out of a chair. Oh, it hurts so bad I can hardly walk. I try not to sit at the computer more than 30 min at a time. I am fortunate I guess because my wrists and fingers hasn't swelled so far but I still have excruciating pain in them especially when I use my computer. The knuckles on my right hand becomes red and warm. I had to go to town a little while ago and it hurt with every step I took. No, you're not going nuts and I'm sorry you are in such pain. I never connected this before, but I think what I am going through now (and have gone through many times), is a flare. My whole body hurts/aches. I feel very tired. I stand up and it hurts to walk from stiffness. My hands and wrists (I have RA in both) are swelling some and are stiff all day, feel hotter than usual, and hurt. My throat is sore and a bit burning, I feel like I have a cold coming on, and have flu-like symptoms. However, even though I feel like I have a cold coming on, I do not get one. This has gone on for 3 days, never getting any worse. As I said before, this has happened on and off for years. If it really were the flu, it would get worse and if it really really were a cold coming on, I think I would actually get one. Does anyone ever flare like this? I am getting to think I am nuts. Guest guest
Hi Joyce, > I wonder if your Rheumy has RA? Many people don't have the same > symptoms as another does.> No, she just tells me how well I am doing, yet I know I am not. I think she needs to learn to listen a bit better > No, you're not going nuts and I'm sorry you are in such pain. Thanks, Joyce, the pain will get better. I know it, it always does.
