Guest guest
Dear Madeleine, It is obvious you are in emotional pain. Many people here want tohelp you. At least 1 person posted her phone #. I told you and tell you again. There is a good doctor in NJ whotreats some indigent patients for free. All you have to do is emailme at lymeliterate@.... As for income- you should be on disability. I have seen many notget disability (ssd or ssi) cause honestly they did not know (nottheir fault) how to overcome the many barriers the governemnt placesin their way. I would be willing to help you. Most of all you are lonely- if you can not get out of the house Iwould be willing to see what could be done about getting you to thedoc and someone visiting you. Lyme is a systemic illness-meaning it affects many parts of thebody and causes multiple symptoms. The essential cause is infection. However, other complications must also be treated. This means usingantidepressants, Nsaids, anti-fungals, sleep ids, etc.et... Youshould not be averse to antidepressants. Also, consider this: thereis an autoimmune componet to lyme (however the primary trigger inlyme is persistent infection)- and it has been discovered thatcertain antidepressants-those in the tryciclic and ssri categorieshelp modulate (slow down) the hyperactive immune system (what peoplecall CFIDS-chroic fatiue syndrome). SO, point is this: there is areason for all ymies to take these antidepressants BESIDESdepression. Such antidepressants that also act as immune modulatorsare sinequan (doxepin),elavil (amitriptyline), paxil, prozac, andzoloft. Modulating the immune system means less fatigue, less pain, better sleep, better concentration, and less depression. Madeleine most of all you are lonely and a little bitter. It's upto you if you want someone here to help you. Try something different-call one of us, email us for help, attend a support group, get somecounseling, make some friends here on the net- it's good you havebeen talking here on LymeAid-nw take it to the next level. Just say " I want some help but am not sure where to start-will someone give metheir phone # so that I can call them " . Plese Madelein, let someonehelp-but in the end you can not be helped if you do not put f yourpart- you need to talk about your feelings, but you also need to takeaction. We're here to listen and point you in their directions(action). You are not alone. Some of us have been where you are at,some even worse. Worried about you, lymeliterate
