Guest guest
On the Twin Towers post - I find this post very troubling. I don't dispute the very real (and prolonged) suffering of Lyme patients, and the seriousness of untreated Lyme. I have a hard time equating the positive efforts of two doctors with skyscrapers full of thousands of innocent people. Not treating Lyme of course affects many innocent people. But the tone of this post and the facile comparison to a scarring national tragedy that many are still grieving from doesn't seem to me to be helpful to the Lyme cause. It is meant to be a disturbing comparison, I know, but it does not inspire me to action. I don't share the sense that this is appropriate or helpful. I am a Lymie who worries about treatment. I am grieved for the person who felt compelled to make this comparison. I do suggest it is perhaps not helpful; the force of what comes across as enormous insensitivity to those grieving may alienate those otherwise eager to support the Lyme cause.
