Our first testing years ago showed very high nickel and chromium for my then 16y

daughter. She had had spacer bar, braces and was then using a stainless steel

retainer. Our orthodontist looked into the composition of the 'stainless steel'.

It had allmost 10% nickel and 19% chromium. I had the retainer changed to a non

metal one. We have chelated but not w the metal in her mouth.
