Who knows how many of those ticks were infected with Lyme or other

tick-related illness. What if they company and so happen, they were just

throw down and somebody contacted it, and it made them sick.

You have to very prudent when dealing with these ticks, and can not take a

chance that they could make someone or an animal infected.

This disease isn't fun. And another animal can not tell you if they have lyme.

Get rid of tics.

Hi,

My parents are trying to kill the ticks. They have dipped the dog, given

her frontline, and sprayed her with the best spray out there. They have

done this several times. They are again spraying the yard and they have 2-3

acres of land. Behind the back piece of land it is wooded, you can't spray

the woods! My point is the ticks in Texas are very bad. But they are taking

the dog to the Vet to be tested and if positive they will treat her. My

parents would not let the dog suffer and the dog is asymptomatic at this

point. They just want to make sure with all the ticks that she has had that

she is not carrying lyme disease.

How do any of you screen your dogs for ticks. Sure you can give them

frontline and it is suppose to kill the ticks that carry lyme disease. But

the tick would have already have bitten the dog and that is how the tick

gets the dose of whatever frontline has in it to kill the tick.
