Guest guest
Does anyone have any tips on what is the best way to recover from a severe herx reaction and does anyone know why sometimes a herx lasts 2 weeks or a month instead of a few days? Previously I only went through these reactions for a couple days, am going on 2 weeks now !!!
Guest guest
Before trying this talk to Dr! When I have a severe herx my LLMD made me take 1/2 tsp baking soda in a glass of water, herx slowed and fever broke within hours. Pepi

Previously I only went through these reactions >for a couple days, am going on 2 weeks now !!! > >> Hi, I'm anything but a doctor - LOL! -- But from what I can " put together " - seems many of the awful effects (symtoms, I mean) of this insiduous disease may be related to the neurotoxins. This sort of " clicked " in my head when reading that Dr. Shoemakers protocol is having great results. So we tried the very hot, steamy bath again & sure enough, sleep improved & mental functions too - a bit... Also using detox tea (Celestial Seasonings - it's about $4 per box for 20 or so tea bags - has 900 mg. milk thistle, red clover, dandeloin & a few other goodies. I feel much better when I take this.) Also, chiro suggest super potency anti-oxidant, as he believes they will " run around body & munch up the toxins. " (He is not a LLMD - but is supporting us very nicely on a daily basis with nutrition, yeast protocol, etc. - not to mention frequent adjustments - cannot imagine going through this without him. What a BLESSING!) Hope this info helps, Chris

I landed in the hospital totally dehydrated with very, very low potassium and calcium and my electrolytes were depleted like crazy and my blood pressure shot up sky high. The worst herx I've ever had and am still having. I hope I feel much better when it has passed and that this did some good in fighting this disease. Thank you so much for all of the tips. It seems I felt best on IV fluids in the hospital so there's really something to staying hydrated it seems.
Guest guest
Hi, Have you recently changed abx? Or increased the dose? I had one very long painful herx when I was on amoxicillin and probenecid, and again after two bicillin shots. Reid pretty much filled you in on the fluids and rest, but you can also add Benedryl to help calm down your symptoms, Good luck, Marta >From: subjadex@... > >Does anyone have any tips on what is the best way to recover from a severe >herx reaction and does anyone know why sometimes a herx lasts 2 weeks or a >month instead of a few days?
