Guest guest
NAA is publishing a new literary magazine called " Pentimento " for the disabled community. Submissions can be by a disabled individual (including children) or a member of the community such as a family member, educator, therapist, etc. Submissions by a member of the community must have a disability-related theme. There are various submissions categories. Do you have a child who has done artwork? Submit it under the " Artwork/photgraphy " category. We are looking for artwork by a child/young adult for each cover. Do you have a child who has written a poem or an essay? Submit it under the " Writing " category. Do you have a child who has written something that is not particularly well-written, but still has a message to communicate? Submit it under the " Uncut " category where unedited pieces are published. Have you as a family member written a poem or essay with a disability-related theme or someone else in your family? Submit it under the " Writing " category. Do you have a disability-related quote that you would like to see published in the Magazine. Submit your quote via the " Get Involved " page on the website. There is also a category called " The Reader's Pen " where readers submit short writing piece on a particular topic. The first two topics are " Taking A Chance " and " Hope " . If the spirit moves you, submit a first-person recollection on one of these topics. Submission information at www.pentimentomagazine.org You can also sign up for the first issue free. You can also contact me directly at lab1283@... with any questions, etc. Thanks!
