Guest guest
We started AC chelation on our daughter who is 4.5 years of age last weekend. Because she has terrible G.I. problems we only used a tiny amount of DMSA to begin with - 3mg. We chelated every 4 hours for a total of 72 hours. This is what we saw: 1. Improved memory - picked up words immediately, used them appropriately and initiated requests. 2. Improved understanding - she simply understood more of what we were saying, so when we asked her to do something she responded better. 3. Crying and whining decreased by 50%! 4. Just a happier child. The only draw-back was that her reflux got worse - I don't know if this is because of the DMSA I was using. We had the DMSA compounded by a pharmacy but it did not smell that great compared to to the Hypoallergenic Formula brand which I bought from VRP. For others using DMSA, which brand do you use? For those with gut kids, do you find that one particular brand is better than the other? Is there anything that I can do when preparing and administering the DMSA to cut down on gut irritiation? Her yeast was not bad at all on the round surprisingly, which was a relief. My biggest anxiety is that my daughter will not be able to tolerate the DMSA and I want to continue this. Would suppositories be a better bet for us? Thank you
