OT: impact/effects of titanium implants?

Hi,

I'm not sure where to turn with this question, and please let me know if I am

out of bounds posting it here. If you know of a better forum for this question,

please do let me know.

I joined this group to get some perspective on chelation for my SPD daughter in

case we need to go that route. But, right now, this question is about me (the

mom) not dd.

I have two (very old) baby molars that need to be extracted. The oral surgeon

and my dentist are recommending titanium implants with crowns attched to them.

Just today it struck me what I'm really doing -- putting two titanium screws

into my jaw.

Does anyone know what, if any, effect titanium will have on my body? When I

google it I get so many conflicting perspectives/opinions I don't know where to

start. I respect any experience or information you can share with me.
