Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has ever been denied health insurance for their child because they are not up to date on their vaccinations or not vaccinated at all? We are trying to get my son on our Individual Plan (self employed) because he is losing his Beckett Medicaid due to no longer meeting level of care (means he is getting better, but screwed b/c still on spectrum). He was denied coverage 5 yrs ago based on ASD dx alone. I'm just wondering when Anthem BCBS gets my son's MD records and they notice he is not fully vaccinated (missing k-garten boosters), will that be an issue? I also have no clue how it is written in his file. The MD could write something like 'stupid mom refuses to vaccinate despite our pleas for sanity'... Anyone have experience? Thanks, Pam
