You could increase magnesium and Vitamin C.

It's OK to do ALA by itself. We do ALA with DMSA because the DMSA helps the ALA

in removing metals from the brain. It doesn't cross the Blood brain barrier, but

acts as a helper once the ALA pulls the metals out.

I think you are right to not wait. There are many ways to work on the

constipation. We have the same problem with one of our boys. He flips back and

forth from constipation to loose bowels. His issue is yeast.

Subject: [ ] Fw: Recommencing chelation after a 8 month break

We are planning to resume chelation (AC protocol) after an 8 month break.

We used DMSA/ALA for 50 rounds and then ALA only for a further 32 before we took

the break.  My question is since it's been a while should we start back again

with DMSA only for a couple of months and then go back to DMSA/ALA or can we

resume with ALA only?

The reason we stopped DMSA was possible issues with PANDA's and were told DMSA

could be immune supressive.  PANDA's isn't an issue now.

I'm concerned about constipation as well which has gotten continually worse

since we took the chelation break to work on gut healing.  I know daily bowel

movements are necessary during chelation rounds but if we keep waiting for this

issue to resolve it could be a long time before getting back to chelation.  We

planned a 6 month break maximum which has now blown out to 8 months due to the

constipation.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
