Guest guest
My daughter has chelated with ALA only for 30 rounds. We took a break for 2 weeks and when we restarted, she began to have tantrums/rages shortly after starting a round. This did not happen in the first 30 rounds, except when 1st starting and her dose was too high for her. After the initial adjustment, all was well. I have asked for suggestions here in the past. Started adrenal supplementation and held off on chelating for a while. Tantrums were still happening about 1x/week even when not chelating. Maybe not getting enough ACE, but I have found I've had to start really low (1/8 cap) and go slow (now 2x/day), or else more agitation. I tried a round of ALA chelation this weekend (4mg every 2.5hours; she is 70lbs, and this is even a lower dose than we were using in the past) and same thing is happening. I'm thinking maybe she can't tolerate ALA any longer, maybe not mercury overloaded - her hair test did not meet counting rules but was borderline, and certainly not normal. She has a gluten and casein intolerance - my goal was to chelate to at least get rid of these. Or maybe I need to ramp up on the ACE. At any rate, I am stopping this round Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I'm really having a hard time figuring this one out.
