Guest guest
Great news! Keep up the great work with chelation. He couldn't even balance on a swing until November of this past year. 2 months ago, my son had finally requested a bike. Well, we immediately went for one. We were SO thrilled he would ride. This evening we were hanging out with the neighbors, and the kids were all riding bikes. Mine is the oldest on the cul-de-sac, but the only one with training wheels. I'm just grateful he is high functioning enough now after a little more than a year of chelation (and 3 yrs biomed) to be accepted and able to play with other kids. Out of the blue, he rides up our driveway, goes into the garage and found a wrench, brought it to his dad at the neighbor's house and wanted the training wheels off. So, we took them off - expecting a crash and crying. I'll be damned! The kid hopped on the bike and rode off on it - without training wheels! He only got the bike 2 months ago. 3 yrs ago on Memorial weekend we were in the hospital with him for the entire weekend. He had caught rotavirus from a newly vaxed kid and got severely sick. He started to regress then, and the flu shot that fall sent him off the cliff. Since he was over the age of 3 he was diagnosed with " severe asperger syndrome " - but he was rather autistic now that I look back on it and compare him to other kids I've met. He rode his bike! NEVER give up HOPE. Thanks to Andy, Dana, Jan, and so many others who answer questions and share their knowledge.
