Garlic loses many of its medicinal properties when cooked. Don't stop cooking

with it, but remember raw works better.

I've started adding raw chopped garlic at the end of cooking process: soup,

veggies, stir fry or salads. If it mixes with already cooked & still warm

ingredients it won't taste as strong, but is still essentially raw. Raw garlic

is a great anti-inflammatory agent as well.

, thanks for your post about garlic moving mercury. I had never heard

this before. We started using it about 3 weeks ago to treat gut bacteria and

yeast (sensitivities were done on a stool test). I haven't really noticed any

changes in my child, but certainly don't want to cause more harm. Are there old

posts about this, or do you know of any other places where I could find more

info?

Thanks

this was news to me too, we have ALWAYS used garlic in our house, for stomach

cramps, problems, yeast flares etc, never actually noticed anything negative

whilst using it i must say, but must err on the side of caution, shame though, I

must have the only 12 year old who loves to eat raw garlic!!

Andy has repeatedly said that metals impact the immune system and allow for the

proliferation and maintanance of viruses. Get rid of the metals and the immune

system can then keep the viruses in check. Not the other way around.

You need a fully functioning immune system to balance viruses and it is well

documented that mercury impacts the immune system.

This along with other Yasko theories have pretty much been debunked.

My understanding is that both of you are correct. AS the immune system gets

damaged by metals, viruses and bacteria invade, release more toxins and overload

the detoxifying mechanism of the body. This is why most people are ok with

dental amalgams for many years until one day, the body cannot handle it anymore,

immune system down, viruses/bacteria/yeast invade, more toxins, spiral down,

person really sick.

My 23 year old son recently explained to me that metal ores in the earth are

clumpy the way they are because of bacteria that help hold them together. We

were discussing this in relation to my detox process. Presumably, the

relationship does run both ways and addressing either end of it *effectively*

should help with both issues. (I have primarily worked on infection and it is

clear to me this is causing my body to also purge metals, without a formal

chelation protocol.)

yes, that is one of the advantages of bugs: because of the many components in

the mixture, it is impossible for bacteria to evolve resistance while with

single-component ABX that is relatively easy.

Also, most herbs have probably several modes of action. They don't just 'kill'

or 'jam' some process in the bacteria, they also do things like blocking quorum

sensing and possibly other actions. Many of these herbs have been developed by

nature over millions of years to fight infections; what remains has been

'proven' to work.

I studied under the late Dr. R. /herbalist SNH. I dug up an

old recipe he put together called the " Anti-Plague " remedy that I just

started using about two weeks ago. I made the recipe, about $1000 worth of

medicine for $175 (2 gallons). One of the main ingredients is garlic juice.

I have had reasonable herxing along with moments of feeling really well. Not

saying this is it, but I know from my own herbal practice that there are

close to 200 constituents in garlic, and bacteria have a hard time figuring

out a antibiotic with that many constituents. I have added it to my buhner

protocol. It also has other herbs in it as well, you can look it up on inet

or email me for recipe to make at home if interested..I know buhner states

that garlic, cryptolepis, and grapefruit seed extract are some of the most

powerful natural antibiotics out there. Just a thought...:)

Will this formula make you reek of garlic?

I want to use it, but have " professional " concerns

about smelling too strongly of garlic....

Thanks everyone!
