Guest guest
Try AC protocol. S S need lots of help on DMSA chelation Posted by: " janibaasch " baaschj@... janibaasch Fri May 14, 2010 8:52 pm (PDT) I'm new to this board and I am having a rough time with my 5 year old son right now. We started DMSA 18 months ago under the direction of a " DAN " doctor - it is going very slow and so about 6 weeks ago I decided to stop it. His prophyrin test from when we first started 18 months ago is essentially unchanged. He was taking 2 mg once daily on monday, wed, fridays. I know this is not the AC protocol but this is the scheudle our doctor uses. Now, I see HUGE regression in my son - in many areas. It did not show up immediately but about 3 or so weeks later. I feel I should restart the dmsa chealtion yet I feel uncomfortable doing the same schedule because it seemed to be going to slow with him. Advice anyone? I would really appreciate any kind of input. Thank you very much.
Guest guest
Do proper chelation respecting the hal-life of the chelator. Andy Cutler Protocol. You can read about it in the files section of the group. For most of us, doctors got us here in the first place by injecting harmful metals and other substances into are chilren and placing them in our teeth. Guest guest
I think by not doing it 3 days in a row, redistribution is taking place. Do it as recommended: 3 days non-stop. I realize DANs don't know about chelators, if people on this list has gotten good results from using chelators, is because they are doing it like Andy says: start friday when coming back from school, then 3 hours without pause until monday morning when they return to activities. I imagine it is very exhausting, haven't started yet, but I am convinced it's the way to go. What happens if you use an antibiotic in a schedule similar to what your DAN prescribed? The body will not recognize either one thing nor the other!! The medium life in plasma is not enough to achieve anything. My little understanding of AC chelation tells me your schedule is not OK, if I am wrong, please someone correct me.... I don't see the point of moving metals, letting them bump around for 24 hours, then start, stop again for 24 hours and start again.... I just don't get it. Just my 0.02, hope your little one gets better soon and you feel confident after this failure provoked by your DAN, to do it the proper way. Many blessings, Isa Enviado desde mi oficina móvil BlackBerry® de Telcel [ ] Re: need lots of help on DMSA chelation Please describe the symptoms of the regression in detail. What are you doing for yeast? Is he tolerating foods okay? How are his BMs? Is he taking any adrenal support (Adrenal Cortex Extract)? Is he on Choline/Inositol for OCD? Are OCD, stimming, or fears a problem? If we know a little more, we can help you better. Liz > > I'm new to this board and I am having a rough time with my 5 year old son right now. Guest guest
Liz, Thanks for your message. Regression: verbal stimming (and hand stimming: palm of hand facing him and waving it back and forth in front of his eyes/face), non-sense words, POOR eye contact, difficulty holding still, some sensory seeking, some stuttering, high pitched sounds, excessive silliness, difficulty holding a conversation with him, more aggression and frustration. His poops are formed (occasionally a little soft at the end) and they are covered in white stringy/mucous stuff (I'm assuming this is yeast). Not really doing anything for yeast at the moment (had diflucon in the past and I have a Rx for nystatin which I have not used yet). He is on a probiotic. He won't take GSE (I must say, it is really nasty) and he doesn't swallow pills. I was not aware of any adrenal support needs in relation to chelation or anything else and I'm not familiar with choline/inositol either. Gosh, after reading your comment, I realized (AGAIN) just how much I DON'T know yet. Fears aren't a real problem for him and the OCD is baseline. There was a typo in my first post - he was taking 200 mg (NOT 2 mg) 3x/week - M,W,F). What do you think? Where should I start to help him. Why do you think there is a regression now after stopping the DMSA? Thank you so much for your time, I know how valuable time is!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~jani. Guest guest
Isa, Thank you very much for your reply. It is so helpful to hear from other parents. I'm kicking myself for doing chelation wrong for 18 months. Your analogy to the antibiotic was great! Grateful for your help! ~jani.
