Tugging at the ears was a sign of yeast overgrowth at my house. Our ear

infections were caused by yeast.

However, my son did not tolerate milk because of the fat content [not the

casein]. Eating fats caused excessive ear wax, aggressive behavior, etc. He

had mitochondrial dysfunction, I wrote what he needed to correct it here

If you suspect a bad bacteria ear infection, try OLE. If you suspect yeast, try

biotin/GSE. If you suspect milk fat, try mito cocktail.

Dana, what did you do for excessive ear wax? My son has tons and is blocking

his tubes in his ears and they wont clear/pop so ENT wants to put him under

anestesia to clean them out, I am worried ab out the anestesia, last time he had

ear tubes put in under the anestesia he developed severe motor and vocal tics...

We did ear candling and it worked. My daughters hearing cleared up remarkably.

The air pressure gently vacuums out the wax. there is a candle involved so you

do have to have a child that will remain still. Depending on the kid just do it

with a calm movie or music. I put a calm CD story for her while I did it. You

are suppose to do 2 candles but we did just one the first time so that the

experience wasn't too long about 10 minutes and a week later we did 2 candles.

got lots! Relatively inexpensive.

Until I figured out what caused it, I removed all fats. Then I added mito

cocktail supplements. At that point I was able to add back fats and he did not

develop the excessive ear wax. It was eating fats [both foods and

supplements/EFAs] that caused the excessive ear wax, because of mitochondrial

dysfunction. Once the mito cocktail was in place, he could eat fats without

problems.
