Hi Tara,

1) its okay to mix the dmsa and ala together ahead of time.

2) it is NOT okay to put in pear sauce ahead of time. It must be in something

more acidic like pineapple or lemon juice.

We would use apple or pear sauce and add lemon juice to it before adding the

DMSA/ALA. Otherwise the chelating agent

will loose its effectiveness. DMSA / ALA has a 12 hour maximum for being in the

sauce or juice the less time the better.
