Guest guest
HI. I am currently doing the cutler protocol with my son with dmsa every 4 hours from friday afternoon until monday morning. I am considering adding ala and have some questions about timing and mixing up of supplements. These are the times I am considering for the dosing with the time being 4 hours at night. Starting Friday 4,7,10 saturady 1am, 5am, 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm (bedtime) Sunday 12am, 4am, 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm 8pm, Monday 12am, 4 am, 8am. Does this look okay? Also I want to start with 5mg of the ALA and so I bought 25mg capsules which I will open and mix with 10-20ml of water and dose out 2ml or 4ml syringes after vigourus shaking. It would be easier to add it to something that was alittle thiker than water but my son does not drink juice. Is there anything else we could use? probably not. I was also speaking to another mom on here and she said its okay to dose out 5 doses but after that the med might start to loose potency. She has been very helpful. She also mixes the dmsa and ala together and then doses them out into 5 syringes. Has anyone else done that and seen good results? Thanks for your time. You might want to respond to me directly as I sometimes dont get onto the message board. Thanks so much.
Guest guest
, I have read from many posts that the every four hours at night was still effective because the " body metabolism slows down " . Unless of course you have a fast metabolizer then you should do every three hours at night. Is yhis incorrect? Also, what is the evening schedule if you are doing dmsa/ala? S. Does this look okay? 3 hours at night is better. 4-hours with ALA at night is only for the parents' convenience and DOES cause redistribution. Water is only OK if it is not alkaline. Distilled water is best. http://onibasu.com/archives/am/120742.html I was also speaking to another mom on here and she said its okay to dose out 5 doses but after that the med might start to loose potency. 12 hours max. So 3 doses if given every 4 hours. She has been very helpful. She also mixes the dmsa and ala together and then doses them out into 5 syringes. Has anyone else done that and seen good results? To say " 4 hours at night is OK " is an allowance made for the convienience of parents who would otherwise be scared away from doing chelation properly at all. To factor in the metabolism in any meaningful way, you would actually have to know your child's exact metabolism variations. These vary (!) . And since the body is already messed up with mercury, your child's metabolism may actually be slower during the DAY. 4.5 hours is the maximum permissible " late dose " per Andy with ALA without having to stop the round and restart with the next scheduled round. http://onibasu.com/archives/am/55691.html Too many late doses and you have to start worrying about whether this is " pharmakinetically OK. " Planning late doses is, in my opinion, unacceptable, especially if it's only for the convenience of the parent. The daily dose timing here is 1am, 4am, 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 7pm, 10pm. I would suggest adjusting it for yourself to coincide with your regular morning alarm. > S. > > Sent from my iPhone > > On Mar 6, 2010, at 7:30 PM, Ross <mrossgrp@... > <mailto:mrossgrp%40gmail.com>> wrote: > > CrystaLT wrote: > > HI. Guest guest
, In our situation, I originally started at every 3 hours but after reading posts from Andy, I switched to 4 hours at night.  So to be on round 46 this weekend and read your comments is surprising. I went back and read saved posts from Andy, pull out Amalgam illness and they both say 3-4 hours for ALA. Also, no, I haven't seen comments from Andy on the lists concerning fast/slow metabolizers. I've read this in Onibasu. S. So to be on > round 46 this weekend and read your comments is surprising. I went > back and read saved posts from Andy, pull out Amalgam illness and they > both say 3-4 hours for ALA. > Per Andy's own admissions, AI is outdated as far as dosing and timing. (And there _really__ needs to be a one-page addendum in new copies of AI sold.) HTI says " every 3 hours (4 hours at night OK) " 3 hours is the ideal dose interval for ALA. 4 hours is less than ideal. " OK " means " if you really can't bear doing every 3 hours " . It doesn't mean that ALA knows it's nighttime and its half-life changes. There are a lot more people who will say " I can't possibly imagine getting up twice in the middle of the night " (for 3-hour dosing), than there are who will say " I can't possibly imagine getting up once in the middle of the night " (for 4-hour dosing). So the caveat " 4 hours at night OK " is for them. To get them to start chelating and not throwing in one more excuse not to. The _right_ way to do it is every 3 hours. Andy does say a dose can be 1.5 hours late without having to stop the round. He does not say this does not come at a price in terms of redistribution, comfort and side-effects. > Also, no, I haven't seen comments from Andy on the lists concerning > fast/slow metabolizers.
