Cal/Mag seems to help with this. we give our 6 yr old about a teaspoon a day of

kirkman liquid. We would give him more but he hates it. Also, if we miss a day

of his mineral supplement (several minerals in one) he chews his shirt, fingers,

objects.

Rumination as in regurgitating the food? Mickie has been doing it for years

and all I have been able to find about it on the internet is that it's a

learned behavior and the only intervention that has worked for him is

telling him to stop. Asking him to open his mouth and show me that he

swallowed his food.

I read that it can cause weight loss and it leads to other unmentionable

behaviors. The trick is to get them not to do it for 120 minutes, after that

the acids would start coming up and they don't do it anymore.

I wonder if it's not an OCD thing?

Just my thoughts,
