Guest guest
Miriam, I was prescribed lodine when they first suspected lupus and RA. At that time it really helped, but only for a little bit. I switched to Lortab after that (doesn't help much). I had no side effects with the lodine, but of course everyone is different (RA taught me that ). Best of luck, Hollympalevsky_bunnylover <mpalevsky@...> wrote: Is anyone on this list taking Lodine XL for their RA? My doctor just prescribed it but I am wondering if any of you who might be taking it have any feedback on it. Does it work well? Did you have any side effects? I am already on so many pills, and still in pain, that I worry about starting another one. Thanks, Miriam
Guest guest
I take the generic form of Lodine WL and have been on it a long time. I have no problems at all with it. But I don't know about combination with other meds. I take supplements and vitamins with it. Guest guest
It didn't work for me. The doc. said if I didn't feel relief in 1-2 weeks we would change so we did. Guest guest
Thanks Stacey. What did you switch to that worked for you? I am currently on Abatacept infusions, lyrica, Avinza, Methotrexate and much more. With all this, I still have lots of swelling in the joints and lots of pain and stiffness. At my appointments, they do a joint count as part of the study I am on. They feel each joint to see if there is actual swelling in the joint and if that joint has pain. The person that does this actually thanked me 2 weeks ago because she said she had never felt swelling in the elbows before! The majority of my joints are positive for swelling and pain. I just don't know what to do anymore and I am so frustrated. Thanks, Miriam > Is anyone on this list taking Lodine XL for their RA? Guest guest
I use Lodine XL for inflammation and some pain relief. It works well for me. I was talking two in the morning and one in the evening for a very severe case of trochantor bursitis with cysts and bone spurs in the joint space. It worked well enough to allow me to do tons of walking in Mahatten, NYC on vacation last summer. I do have to take mine with Nexium to protect my stomach...but I had no problems with it at all. Worked well. No side effects and it didn't make me sleepy. Toni > > Is anyone on this list taking Lodine XL for their RA? Guest guest
I take Lodine XL. I have done so for 3 years now. I still have bad days, but I started the Lodine same time as the enbrel. don't know which is working, or if the combination of the two is doing whatever for me. I still work full time, so I guess it is working well. sorry to be vague, but I just can't pinpoint it any better. gentle hugs!
