Guest guest
Neither 100 mg nor 50 mg DMSA is AC chelation for a 50 lb child. S S [ ] Re: share some experience of DMSA Posted by: " Pang " richardpang56@... richardpang56 Thu Sep 2, 2010 9:26 am (PDT) I used ALA (200mgs) to cut down the usage of DMSA (reduce 100mgs to 50mgs) to stablize my son in the last round of the AC. Guest guest
I guess the one thing we can't argue is that you see improvements in your child since we are not there to witness. You are very, very early in to the chelation process. Please know that we will be here to help *if* you see any problems in the future. I worry that you are giving your child DMSA only twice per day. I hope you consider adding that 3rd dose, at the minimum. Because you do not immediately see bad things does not mean giving DMSA only twice a day is wise. I hope you have some experience in dealing with the curing process of autistic childred in the real world so that we can have a even more constructive discuusion. > > We only use a vitamin supplement recomended by an experienced DAN doctor. > > It looks like you want to go down yeast infection issue. I assume the extended DMSA chelation combined with larger dosage treatments could make it worse as someone suggested. Clearly, it's not the case for my son. Here're my analyses: > > Based on two successful disengagements from DMSA after chelation: > > A certain concentration of DMSA (100mg twice a day, this level is adequate for my son)in the blood stream needs to be maintained for an extended period (e.g., 6 days for my son) to flush out disturbed mercury while allowing the newly exposed nerve to heal. > > My layman's analysis of the half life of DMSA is still good (e.g., 100mg reduced to 50mg after 3-4 hours). The definition of the half life has been misused or abused. > > According to the scientific data published in J. Toxicol. Clin. Toxicol. 30, 505-528 (1992), DMSA concentration in the blood reaches its peak at 3.0 hours and its t 1/2 is 3.2. These results are obtained under high dosage conditions of DMSA. If you have some scientific training, you understand the results are only valid under these test conditions. You can't draw or extrapolate it to the low concentration applications of DMSA blindly. > > > Furthermore, don't get confused with the effective time of DMSA with the half time. Large dosage of DMSA will maintain its concentration in the blood above the certain level that leads to a longer effective time. > > > >
