Guest guest
This question has come up quite a bit, but havent heard an answer as to whether coriander has chelating properties like cilantro. I err on the side of caution and sub ground coriander with sage/lemon or other citrus zest combo. For the seeds, I sub with caraway, fennel, cumin, or cardamom seeds. Not a fan of caraway, prefer cumin, but I'll sub using whichever one of these I have in my pantry at the time. Guest guest
i use both. I have never had any problems as far as I can tell. Personally, I think the fear of cilantro is taken to an unnecessary extreme. My guess is the advice should be more like don't use a product containing cilantro that claims to chelate and don't juice your own cilantro or eat bunches and bunches for detox purposes. I guarantee I will be disputed! Pam > > Hi All, > I came across following post > http://onibasu.com/archives/am/171531.html > Does it mean coriander seeds are ok to use in cooking?
