I  recently gave my daughter a tiny bit of Thorne's Adrenal Cortex supplement -

I gave it to her for two days and both days she woke up at 2.00am and would not

go back to sleep until 7.00am. During this time I did not add in anything new or

give her any new foods. I am very careful when introducing somethng new to make

sure I can gauge side-effects, so I am pretty sure the waking up  is due to this

supplement. My daughter seems to have the symptoms of adrenal fatigue, so why

should she react to this supplement in this way? Does this mean she does not

need it?

Also, I am supposed to introduce a new supplement called Seriphos

(phosphatidylserine) which is also supposed to work on cortisol levels. Does

this mean that my daughter would not be a good candidate for the Seriphos

either? Does anyone know the difference of how Adrenal Cortex and Seriphos work

in the body?

Thank you.

At my house, that was our reaction when the ACE dose was too high, or when we

didn't need it any more, or when it was given too late in the day. If you are

giving a tiny pinch in the morning and it is having this effect, I would say you

may not need to give it.
