RBC can be low if he is having a growth spurt. Sometimes they grow so fast they

get a little anemia.

An elevated sed rate (assuming it is elevated) is not a diagnosis, but should be

combined with other tests for further investigation.

Viral infections, inflammation, autoimmune diseases are all possible causes.

Anemia, by the way, can affect test results; can cause sed rate to increase.

I'm sure some of our kids to have an elevated sed rate for sure.

Ok, I got the fax and this is what is out of range on his tests:

Sed rate is 42 (range is < or = 15) wow, this is HIGH then! Yikes!

Red blood cell count 3.84 (range 3.9-5.5)

MCV 89.7 (range 73-87)

MCH 30.9 (range 24-30)

Absolute monocytes 1107 (range 200-900)

B12 1301 (250-1205) Didn't expect this!!

Folate serum is not out of range, but don't understand how to read it b/c it

says in range >24 and reference range >7.1...?

Lead is <3 with a range of <5 so not over the range, but still showing as some

lead, right? I would expect this since we are chelating.

Trying not to let this worry me....anyone have any feedback on these results?

The good news is that he used to have very elevated platelt counts, now they are

normal, yippee!! The fact that the dr wants to see us has me worried.

Oh wow! I have noticed that he is doing so much better with so many things

lately, effected by diet changes and homeopathy, but the mood swings and the low

frustration threshold isn't better and I wonder, if this is the link.

Do you think chelation makes inflammation worse for a while?
