Guest guest
I take it but not religiously. It seems to upset my stomach. I have been taking it for about 6 weeks and suddenly have been overcome with anxiousness. I resumed the Lexapro I had been taking until about 2 months ago, but it hasn't helped. I'd love to hear from others about this. Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful, peaceful Thanksgiving. Guest guest
I took it for a while, for OA, long before RA set in. Hated it. Upset stomach most of the time, and I made sure that I took it on a with food and was advised to wait to lie down a full hour after I took it. Never thought that it really helped the OA. When the RA set in, it didn't touch it. Now on generic mobic and it is a lot better. Helps with the pain and no stomach upset. Now off to change my settings. Hate that you can't edit a post with these settings. Rose ----- Original Message ----- From: Joy Sent: Wednesday, November 22, 2006 6:55 PMI take it but not religiously. It seems to upset my stomach. Guest guest
I took Voltaren for a couple of years and loved it because it was the only thing I found that helped greatly reduce my pain. Then one morning I started having bright red rectal bleeding. Called Dr., was told to stop Voltaren immediately. Bleeding stopped. Several weeks later tried it again, bleeding began again. After three trials with the same result, Dr. tried the topical version of this same drug on me, with the same result...bleeding. So, unfortunately, no more Voltaren. Have not been able to find anything else that did any good, so I really miss it. > > > > Good evening, > > > > Has anyone here been on Voltaren for a while and suffered any > anxiety? Guest guest
Yikes, I wonder what happens. It must tear up the stomach. I was having a lot of gas and stomach problems but it did help the pain in my ankles a lot and so the doc gave me something like nexium to take in the mornings and that helped. Pills to cure the side effects.... elsiebea1 <elsiebea1@...> wrote: I took Voltaren for a couple of years and loved it because it was the only thing I found that helped greatly reduce my pain. Guest guest
, I thought Voltaren is a anti arthritis Gel...my pain doc gave me a few free tubes to try on my ankle...I had two surgeries on the same foot..because of the unhealthy tendons, my ankle is still not right and is now becoming arthritic...which it wasnt before the surgeries...and I just started working again after a two year hiatus at a PT facility that requires me to be on my feet all day..which is really inflaming my ankle...doc also gave me some Celebrex to try. Guest guest
Voltaren is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Voltaren works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Voltaren Gel contains diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs). Diclofenac works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Voltaren Topical Gel is used to treat joint pain in the hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles, or feet caused by osteoarthritis. This medication may not be effective in treating arthritis pain elsewhere in the body. > > , > > I thought Voltaren is a anti arthritis Gel...my pain doc gave me a few free tubes to try on my ankle...I had two surgeries on the same foot..because of the unhealthy tendons, my ankle is still not right and is now becoming arthritic...which it wasnt before the surgeries...and I just started working again after a two year hiatus at a PT facility that requires me to be on my feet all day..which is really inflaming my ankle...doc also gave me some Celebrex to try. > > Matt > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Matt, The Voltaren that I take is 75 mg pill. It works on reducing inflammation in the joints that are swelling from arthritis as far as I understand. I am sure there is more to it. Basically a much stronger ibuprofen.
