Guest guest
I bought Magnesium Oxide, from NOW foods. 100% pure powder from ocean deposits. $7.99 for 324 servings (700 mg each). It tastes like chalk. Some might consider it tasteless, and in a way, it is, but in a good way. It does not taste repulsive in any way. I enjoy eating it. I ate about 4 grams when I first opened it. Shortly afterwards, a big bout of the runs hit me. There were liver-flukes floating to the top. I've had about 4 more trips since then, all mostly water & some flukes (dead worms). The B6 is from Solgar. 100 mg b6, pyridoxine HCl, Ca 55mg. 100 tabs, 100 mg. other ingr: dicalcium phosphate (WTF?), Microcrystaline cellulose (huh?), vegetable. It tastes like acrid, almost rotten-sour, somewhat-bitter tasting, although not entirely repulsive. It is almost good tasting, but in a very unusual way, and sort of reminds me of vomit or deep bile, but with a twinge of decomposed lemon-seed flavor, but something about it is almost pleasant. Weird to describe. The only other sup I bought from Solgar was their yellow multi-mineral and it tasted bitter as hell. Definately not worth using, complete waste of money, & therefore, I seriously question Solgar's health-inducing qualities. Well, I just ate 1500% RDA of B6. Twin Labs zinc " chelated " , zinc cluconate dihydrate, zinc picolinate other ingr: gelatin, purified water, MCT, Magnesium stearate $9.45 It tastes to me like vanilla, almost like ice-cream, but far from it. I enjoy it's taste a lot. It's rather harsh on my tongue though. 100 caps, 30 mg. I really love the taste of this mineral and would highly recommend it based on that alone. I love the way it feels and tastes in my mouth. It leaves a strong sensation on the tongue, like cinnamon can. Powerful stuff. I could tell it did something the first time I took it. I had an out-of-the-ordinary occurance. Natrol ALA 300mg, 50 caps, some drug-store brand, other ingr: rice flour, gelatin, water, mag stearate. I absolutely LOVE THE TASTE of this stuff. It's like bitter-almonds, like vanilla ice-cream, but stings the tongue with flavor, like cinammon, like cayanne peppers. It is so satisfying and delicious. I suspect it of being the cause of these blisters on the side of my tongue, but WOW, it just tastes so amazingly delicious, I cannot get enough. I only sampled a tiny bit though, to let these tongue sores heal, if the ALA is the cause. I love the stuff and cannot get enough. My body obviously needs it. L-Glutathione 50 mg, 50 tabs, other ingr: dicalcium phosphate?, cellulose WTF is dicalcium phosphate? Why not just put rice starch in there or something more trustworthy & less suspicious sounding? I hate it when they do that, but still, this GNC brand product tastes good, like lemonaide. Not sure if it's doing anything. Have'nt noticed any effect. EDTA ethylenedi... acid chelate 625 mg 60 caps, oth ingr: gelatin, veg cellulose, veg magnesium stearate, silica, $18.00 Probably way overpriced, , from DC qual pure. It tastes very sour, but not like lemons, more like fermented tart-plumb I once had. It's good tasting, and very different. Nothing quite tastes like it, but it's not repulsive at all, and in fact appealing in a way. Need more time to evaluate. The Kal brand Vitamin C I bought is very delicious and tart also, I love kal brand. Their stuff usually tastes the best and is very cheap, & they've been around a long time. So, of all these brands, the consistant loser is Solgar. I'll have to google them. I wonder if the other guys would make a better tasting B6. The other brands taste well enough.
