I've never heard anything negative about them... but I will read up on the link

you sent me. Either way, the cookbook has some great recipes... it's under 10

bucks, and after today it no longer goes towards the Autism Speaks rally.

I just looked at Autism Society of America's 2007 Annual Report

They funded just over 3 million in donations in 2007. That is 1/8 of what

Autism Speaks funds according to the Facebook page. They have 128 million

committed to new research alone through 2014. As for a $400K salary? That's

pretty much on the mark for an organization of this size. People think it's

easy to successfully manage an organization. They have no clue. I believe

someone has green eyes.

One thing I've learned is to play with the big dogs. Autism Speaks is the big

dog and they are doing the most good overall from what I can see.

I can't believe you had to ask. I am going to be blunt with you, when you have

little kids that are in a sh-tload of pain and spending their childhood in

misery instead of playing like other kids, you get a bit peeved when people say

they are raising money for them and you haven't seen a dime go toward actual

treatment, a good study, a trust fund for them or SOMETHING.

Autism speaks has done nothing for my child. They want to walk? They can walk

the plank. National Autism Association has been the biggest help to my child -

by far. Generation Rescue led me to this group.

I suspect the higher than normal pay of the executives and absolute and total

exoneration of vaccines turns some people off.

Founder Bob 's daughter left the organization over vaccine controversy, I

think. I read about pharmaceutical contributions - perhaps going back to his

days owning or controlling major media outlets - not really sure.

The part about vaccines is my hang up - I watched my perfectly healthy baby have

a reaction and develop autism, so there is no question in my mind.

I have also seen hundreds of kids improve and lose Dx from treatments for

mercury and toxin poisoning - my child among them, further supporting the

vaccine connection for me.

Christie said it, they have done a lot for " autism " . What is autism? Autism is

an excuse for universities to take hundreds of thousands of dollars away from

our children so they can find pharmaceutical concoctions to momentarily " fix " a

process or two in the body that toxic metals screw up. When parents give the

concoction, there is an initial euphoria of hope with the slight improvement (if

lucky) followed by leveling out or a bad reaction because some other process is

now skewed and the " thorn in the flesh " was not removed!!

Christie, a wonder-drug is not possible, why would you keep giving them the

money to find it? We already know the cause Christie, why don't you tell them

to get mercury and aluminum out of vaccines for good so no more kids get autism?

As Autism-Speaks does their stupid walks and funds research on the " age of

fathers of children with autism " - type studies, more kids are developing food

intolerances/aversions, acid reflux, seizure disorders, speech delays, OCD,

sensory disorders and " autism " EVERY DAY from the vaccine ingredients they won't

say anything about.

You've just reached the wrong board, my dear. We are not the " monkey moms " you

will see working under the direction of Autism Speaks paid area coordinators,

gathering money from their friends and family to pay rich people's bills. That

job is for Pharmoms who are either in denial or haven't been reached yet by sane

people. You see, we over here don't drink the Koolaid and therefore, we prevent

people from setting up Koolaid stands on this board.

Saying they have done a lot " for " autism is pretty accurate. I'm sure they have

done a lot " for " autism because they certainly have not done anything to truly

reduce autism rates. They, and the universities that hoover up those millions,

steadfastly ignore or even try and contradict parents experience recovering

their kids with therapies that target specific injuries to their children's

biological systems. Injuries that by there very nature and time of appearance

implicate a big, white, elephant sized pig that they shall never recognize by

name. It no wonder the pharmaceutical industry attracts investors like Bill

Gates, same very low level of ethics. In fact I would not be surprised to find

the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation on the Autism Speaks donor list.
