fully toilet trained day and night (except no.2's) is urinating less frequently

and refuses too wee in the toilet. If I back track it appears to have commensed

4 weeks ago when i started the dmsa.If I put nappy's on him and give him lots to

drink his nappy's are full.

It's possible that the dose is too high.

commensed at roughly 7mg and have it now at 20mg which is roughly my sons body

weight.

4 weeks is too fast to go from 7 mg to 20 mg.

Start chelation at 1/8 mg/lb. If side effects are too great then lower the dose

for the next round until a dose is found where chelation is comfortable.

Chelate at that dose for several months before increasing. Increase by no more

than 1/2 of previous dose (from 7mg the next dose would be 7+3.5=10.5mg).

The top end of the dose range, for when chelation is close to finished, is 1/2

mg/lb. Andy says to never go above 1 mg/lb. If you are chelating at 1 mg/lb it

is way way too high.

Be sure to have the comfortable dose of DMSA figured out before starting ALA.

It takes several rounds at one dose to be confident that the dose is right

because side effects can creep up and they can change from round to round.

The starting dose is usually 1/8 mg/lb. If side effects are too much then the

round can be stopped and the dose must be lowered for the next round.
