Cobalt is an essential element for life in minute amounts. The LD50 values

soluble cobalt salts has been estimated to be between 150 and 500 mg/kg. Thus,

for a 100 kg person the LD50 would be about 20 grams.

(Compare this to your lab number, and figure out how many kg your child weighs.

The conversion for pounds to kg is: lbs / 2.2 = kilograms or for kilograms to

pounds: kg x 2.2 = pounds. There are 1,000 grams in a kilogram. And there are

1,000 mg in one kilogram.)

Those thinks have never been tested in blood work I don't think. I will try to

get hold of it. I know it wasn't tested in the March one. It's good to know it

means nothing here. Could be from the contrast from the MRI. The hair test was

taken only 2 weeks after that.

I don't know anything about this stuff, that's why I am asking questions.

Hair tests will always show more than blood test because the hair is dead and

chemicals stay in it longer.

Are we talking about too much cobalt or too little?

Actually, I was talking about generalities. The lethal dose is how much it takes

to kill a person.

,

The cobalt was elevated toward the end of the yellow zone, but if elevated

cobalt is not an issue, then it makes no difference. Thank you for your input.
