Guest guest
Hi everyone- The rash you describe sounds exactly like the reaction people get when exposed to the sun having lupus. My girlfriend had horrid red rash with bumps on her arms after being out in the garden. If you arent on plaquenil, that might help, and when all else fails, wear a lightweight gauze material to cover exposed areas. I found calamine lotion gel or a bath with epsom salt and calamine works great as well as a natural aloe vera too. I havent been out in the sun for 9 years. WHen I have to I do, but usually I wear a cover up. My boyfriend is an avid golfer and he is battling basal cell cancer spots on his face. Not one or two but three. Every year a new one pops up. He gets them where his golfing hat doesnt cover and I told him a wide brim hat this year no matter what. I break out with a horrible itchy rash on my arms. My son plays baseball and I'm in the sun for a few hours on Mondays and Wednsdays. I try to use an umbrella when its just to hot to cover up with long sleeves or a jacket but I still mangage to break out. I wish I could find an umbrella with UV protection ( No luck yet). My arms finally get better during the winter and here I am sitting at baseball again, started a few weeks ago. I got my first itchy bumps on my hands last week . If you ever find something that works please let me know, I have tried sunblock and that seems to make it worse or just doesnt work at all. The only thing that seems to work is covering up. I have heard that just 15 minutesa day is enough, hopefully we could manage that much :)Regarding watches and rings, I always used to break out in the worst rashes. Took me years to find out it's a nickel allergy, so I can't wear anything but the finest silver and gold, ha Get amazing travel prices for air and hotel in one click on FareChase New Messenger with Voice. Guest guest
My doctor says that the rash is an allergic reaction to the sun caused by the medications I take i.e. methotrexate and remicade. I guess its worth having the rash then having the severe pain I delt with before I started the meds. I am going to being trying aloe from a plant my sister gave me. Wish me luck LOL in MichiganDeborah Bargad <dbargad@...> wrote: Hi everyone- The rash you describe sounds exactly like the reaction people get when exposed to the sun having lupus.
