Guest guest
Vicky, Thanks for the salmon suggestions! I love salmon and needed some new ways to fix it. As for fixing steak, I just assign the task to my husband who does a wonderful job of grilling it. I tend to turn it into shoe leather, yuk. Guest guest
That's right, . In ER it was but further studies must have proved it neutral. That's how it is listed in LR. > Is salmon now off the HB list for Os? > > karen >

Guest guest
Bee; Until I can get more, will it harm me to eat the " frozen wild caught salmon " I bought that says it has sodium tripolyphosphate " to maintain moisture. Also, I bought " Fresh wild caught Alaskan cod " at the store and it smelled a little like bleach, I rinsed it and smelled better. Cooked up nice. Harmful to eat? Both bought at Chain store (Krogers). Jeanne

To help get rid of some of those chemicals, soak the fish in water and ocean sea salt for 12 hours or overnight, using about 1 teaspoon per pound. Rinse off the fish, and make a new batch of sea salt and water and soak them again for 12 hours. When you eat any foods that contain sulphites and related chemicals take 1,000 mg of vitamin C with it, which helps bind up the chemicals so they are less harmful. The best, Bee
Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > I was wondering if it's okay to eat salmon everyday? I've been having Cloverleaf wild sockeye salmon in a can with my lunch each day, and sometimes I have sardines instead. I usually have beef or chicken for dinner, or some other type of fish. > +++Hi . Yes it is okay. Bee
Guest guest
Just wondering if you all let your kids eat salmon. Especially if you are chelating. Thats our next step. His diet is so limited already. I have seen mixed reviews on whether it is safe or not. What do you all think? Thanks Liz )
Guest guest
I eat salmon only if it is certified wild caught in cold water from canada or alaska (even this is not a guarantee it comes from unpolluted waters). FArmed salmon from Chile is the next worst thing after tilapia: fed w concentrates, full of hormones and antibiotics... Sad. Guest guest
I was told only Alaskan Salmon or Alaskan cod. Is this not right? My son loves fish, but we only allow it once a month and only the Alaskan salmon or cod, so if this is wrong, would someone let me know. Guest guest
The links below might be useful. In the past we avoided seafood at my house, but now we occasionally eat fish that are supposedly less contaminated. We take a little selenium with the meal, hoping it will bind to mercury, but I really don't know if it works that way. -Ann Seafood Selector Environmental Defense Fund (USA) health alerts " This chart lists the most contaminated fish, and how much can safely be eaten each month (assuming no other contaminated fish is consumed).
