Guest guest
Could be that the dose is too high. Could also be Trimethylaminuria. Can be a genetic disorder, or caused by too much proteins proteins in the diet, or an increase in bacteria that produce trimethylamine. I used to work with a lady that had this. Poor women smelled like fish all the time and unfortunately for her it was a genetic mutation that caused it. http://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/condition=trimethylaminuria Karla > > I was hoping someone might know why! I will give him his Omegas and/or he will eat fish and smell like it for days...even weeks. For example, I gave him one tsp of Omegas last Monday and he still smells like fish. His breath, urine, pores...everything. Does anyone know why????? > Thanks! > > > > >
Guest guest
Is he taking carnitine? Fishy-smelling urine is a symptom of too much carnitine, which my DD got from taking small doses of it. It smelt pretty strong at the time too. > > I was hoping someone might know why! I will give him his Omegas and/or he will eat fish and smell like it for days...even weeks. How much carnitine are you giving? Try modifying the dose. Dana
