Guest guest
Hi , has hearing sensitivity, when she is near or during a cycle she frequently covers her ears and cries because the noise bothers her. She has been tested numerous times and they noted hyper-resonance in her Rt ear, but they didn’t feel it was the issue. Good luck with your appointment. Walton (5) ? Guest guest
When my son was much younger (baby to about 5) he was very sensitive to loud noises. We couldn't take hinm to baseball games, etc. It does not bother him now. Alisha Elischer Victor (8) Sound Sensitivity Does anyone else have a child with sound sensitivity? Guest guest
M y daughter is sensitive to sounds too, I always just blew it off to being an only child, so there isn't a lot of excess noise in our house. Since being diagnosed with I have noticed it goes along with her cycles. Guest guest
Ethan has both sound and light sensitivity and cries and screams hysterically when he goes through an episode. He also has light sensitivity when not having an episode but its not quite as bad Bree > Does anyone else have a child with sound sensitivity? Is this something > associated with or something else. Guest guest
Madi is extemely sound sensitive (I'm currently trying to figure out if it's only when fevers are around, if its worse then, etc.). The sound of water running from the tub is too much for her... I never thought her light sensitivity had anything to do with this...until reading these posts. Madi, for a year now, has complained about the sun. I've always worn sunglasses on her, but the times we forget, they get lost in the car, etc., she is miserable & says how it hurts her. It is hard sometimes, with toddlers, (especially when Madi has a flare for the dramatic--Hollywood, here we come!)decifering what is really a symptom, and what is not. That is really interesting to know that it ties into . Mom to: Madi (4 yrs) Lil' Sis Emma (9 mos) > > Does anyone else have a child with sound sensitivity? Guest guest
Orlando has recently become extremely sound sensitive again, we haven’t seen this in years. He will cover his ears at the certain sounds – generally tinnier and more high pitched, but not always. I can’t remember what causes it, and what alleviates it, can someone help? >>Many times folks have said when the sort the gut issues the sensory problems go down, you are dealing with gut big time, it should pass. Also can be an adjustment issue to actually feeling better but having trouble with coping with the change Mandi x
Guest guest
HI Alison, For my son, sound sensitivity goes away by supplementing extra magnesium. Guest guest
Treating parasites with Flagyl did it for us, so yes gut issues could be the problem. Guest guest
Just wondered because often changing levels of magnesium, zinc and calcium can have an effect. Other things to think about, any new foods, ear infection starting, any new sensory stimulation. I am sure others will come up with more. Guest guest
Did you give him any Calpol before it started? Calpol/ Paracetomol causes it in my son (but not the same for all kids) and lots and lots of Epsom Salts will help for reasons that have been explained to me but which I am not able to repeat! Guest guest
There are a lot of funny viruses going around at the moment some are affecting the ears.. though mainly tonsils and stomach.. could he possibly have a low grade viral issue affecting his ears.. this could make certain sounds painful to listen too? Other thought is at his age is he cutting new teeth? when teeth push through the gums the jaw has to expand and often pushes back and compresses area around inner and middle ear .. and this too can affect ear sensitivity. Just a thought Tracey On Tue, Mar 30, 2010 at 9:07 PM, jcbgalvin <jcbgalvin@...> wrote: no nothing in past two months Started Nutriiveda 2 months ago
Guest guest
Hi KumarMy son had the same thing. We did Auditory Integration Therapy which cured it. It involves 10 days listening to music on headphones for 30 minutes and looking at flashing lights for 30 minutes in the morning and again the afternoon with a break of three hours in between - so two hours each day. We did it here in north Londonhttp://www.thesoundlearningcentre.co.uk/It's not cheap but it was worth it for us as it was difficult going anywhere and school events were a nightmare. I know someone here got Caudwell funding for it.Best wishesAutism Treatment From: andhraparis06@...Date: Thu, 13 May 2010 06:12:09 +0000Subject: sound sensitivity Hi, My son is 2.5 years old has sound sensitivity. he cant listen to certain type of sounds like juice blender, certain type of musical instruments with heavy bass and children's voice. please suggest how to reduce the sound sensitivity. we are giving him mineral supplements but havent seen any improvement. rgds Kumar Get a free e-mail account with Hotmail. Guest guest
Beside yeast what else causes ear sensitivity? My son is covering his ears again. He is also throwing things to make sounds so he can cover his ears and laugh. We have a yeast protocol in place oil of oregano in the morning and biotin 5000mcg in the afternoon and 5000 more in the evening. It's been working because his behavior has improved greatly. I am trying to figure why he's covering his ears again. He has not done that in 9 months. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Sound sensitivity in our house generally indicates adrenal distress. We have to up our son's ACE and then it goes away, which happens periodically during chelation. Irene > > Beside yeast what else causes ear sensitivity? My son is covering his ears again.
