Guest guest
thanks to all of you that have responded to the calcium question. Hunt;s doc has not said a thing about him being on it, his nurse thinks he is probably getting enough of it through mild etc. so i am putting him on it Rosemary

Observation of symptoms, especially his symptoms when I tried to give him a calcium supplement [major problems] and his symptoms when I gave him a demineralizer [major improvements]. Guest guest
Hi Dana, Can you be specific about the symptoms? My experienced had a painful experience (e.g,. like loose mercury attcking his nerve system) with mineral/vitamin supplements. He is going to eat nuts to get Mg. Meat proteins (e.g., beef) contain a huge amount of Zinc. He has a very good gut. He consumes one pound of lamb meat, 1 lb. of green bean, undetermined amounts of rice, cucumber, and salad a day. > > ty you dana how did you know he was toxic ? blood test ? > > > Observation of symptoms, especially his symptoms when I tried to give him a calcium supplement [major problems] and his symptoms when I gave him a demineralizer [major improvements]. > > Dana >

If I tried to give my son a calcium supplement, he went nuts, very hyper, lost all contact with reality, completely in his own world. When I gave him IP6, he was more " present " , more body awareness, less hyper, would walk beside me, etc. Dana
Guest guest
This past month, my 5 year old son has developed terrible " issues " --not wanting to go to sleep in his own bed, screaming when he doesn't get his way (to the point he cracked a glass in my kitchen cabinet, extreme stimming, not wanting to take baths anymore, and the only thing I can attribute this to is his calcium supplement that we started last month. I stopped it 2 days ago and am waiting to see if it helps. I'm so glad I saw this post and I hope that it's what it is. Guest guest
You need to be very careful with other supplements. My son got hurted badly by a multi vitamin/mineral supplement. Your son might experience pain internally so he acts differently. When my son is in pain, he withdraws, crys, and bursts into anger. You might want to make sure your son gets off DMSA or any other chelating agent in a happy mood after the feeding round. We basically use my son's mood as a biomarker. > > > Hi Dana, > > > Can you be specific about the symptoms? > > > > > > If I tried to give my son a calcium supplement, he went nuts, very hyper, lost all contact with reality, completely in his own world. Guest guest
My son has the same behavioral issues with calcium! Even if it's an ingredient in another supplement. When I remove the source of calcium, he seems to be okay after about a week. Carla In a message dated 9/14/2010 10:26:32 A.M. " I'm not sure what you mean by this. We're currently using TD DMSA. I've been asking my son if his tummy hurts and he nods and pats his stomach. This is new too. Guest guest
Stop giving bad advice, such as your dangerous chelation schedul, someone could end up hurting their child if they listen. While it is good to watch your childrens behavior as indicators it's not always reliable many supplements may be helping but trigger other issues you need to address such as yeast, adrenal fatigue etc. > > > > Hi Dana, > > > > Can you be specific about the symptoms? > > > > > > > > > If I tried to give my son a calcium supplement, he went nuts, very hyper, lost all contact with reality, completely in his own world. Then I gave him the supplements that calcium requires for proper absorption, which for my son were magnesium, vitamin D, vitamin K, and lysine. At that point, my son was able to eat calcium foods. I have never had to give him a calcium supplement, even for the 2 years that he was cf. Dana
Guest guest
You might want to check if the chelation itself does not cause any problem to him if you don't see improvement after you stop giving calcium supplements. If I were you, I would start a new round of chelation (3 days on). After 3 days, I would give either supplements considered to causeg no complication or no supplement at all. I would monitor the kid's condition (mood). If the kid behaved very well, it would suggest that the chelation worked. Otherwise I would need to make adjustment in the chelation protocol. > > > > > Hi Dana, > > > > > Can you be specific about the symptoms? > > > > > > > > > > > > If I tried to give my son a calcium supplement, he went nuts, very hyper, lost all contact with reality, completely in his own world.
