Guest guest
Hi Kenny I have both of Andy's book. Since I am new to the thyroid stuff, I want to get more input from more experienced parents. Be sure I am on the right track. I forgot to include his TSH is 3.4. His TSH is little elevated, but the FT3, Ft4, T3 and T4 seem in pretty good range. That is why I am not sure would he be hypothyroid? Also I am not sure if he has HASHI b/c the Antibodies is elevated at 20? Thanks > > > > His sympton is slow developing, anxiety, easily tears in eyes, excited, anger, mood swings, small size(growth chart barely on 10%), has 13 cavities work done when 4yo. Used to complaint tired all the time (but fatigue gone after follow Andy suggestion feed him seaweed. It is amazing to see his tireness disappeared immediately after give him the seaweed soup. THANK YOU, Andy). > > > > My son's 5yr old test result: > > > > Iodine, serum/Plasma 61.5ng/ml 44-94 > > Testosterine, serum <3ng/dl(Low) 3-32 > > Free T4, Direct 1.53ng/dl 0.85-1.75 > > Thyroxine(T4) 7.9ug/dl 4.5-12 > > Triiodothyronine(T3) 112ng/dl 83-252 > > TPO AB 20IU/ml 0-20 > > Triiodothyronine,Fre,Serum 4.0pg/ml 2.0-6.0 > > IGF-1 factor 52ng/ml 50-286 > > IGF-BP3 3.0mg/L 1.1-5.2 > > > > His Hair test posted in HairTests->Jengis file: > > Ca 213ug/g (125-370) > > Mg 15 (12-30) > > NA 300 (20-200) > > K 410 (12-200) > > > > With potassium and sodium are up, with calcium and magnesium down and plus the other symptons, he needs adrenal support. > > > > What is the recommended dosage Cortex for 38LB? > > > > My endo said his thyroid test result looks good, but I want to check with you and see if there is problem with his thyroide. Guest guest
Hi I'm not an expert regards Thyroid, but then not many people are including most Docs and unfortunately most Endo's, also the units used here in Australia are different to these. However TSH at 3.4 seems quite high to me even though I'm pretty sure this is within the suggested Euthyroid range. Also the fT3 is a little on the low side even if this an appropriate age ref.range ideally fT3 should be in the upper 3rd of an appropriate ref.range in young children. Armour Thyroid may be something worth considering, alternatively or as well, things like Celtic sea salt, Iodine, Selenium might help although would not be as effective as Armour. Supporting the adrenals 1st would be wise as Thyroid supps can put added stress on adrenals if these are not supported 1st. Again I'm no expert so don't take what I say as definitive, these are only suggestions or possibilities, but IMO worth considering. All the best Kenny > > > > > > His sympton is slow developing, anxiety, easily tears in eyes, excited, anger, mood swings, small size(growth chart barely on 10%), has 13 cavities work done when 4yo.
