Wow. Talk about label " white lies " .

The label actually says:

Succinic Acid 65mg (from 100 mg DMSA†)

This means that the caps contain DMSA (C4H6O4S2), but _implies_ that the

labelled " wanted " ingredient is succinic acid (C4H6O4). In fact I'm

pretty sure you can't get from one to the other inside the human body.

Andy has said: " DMSA and succinic acid are not related in any

biochemically relevant

manner, and share no properties relevant to their use as supplements

or detox agents. The similarity in their names is a formality of

chemical nomenclature, not a relevant relationship. "

This is sort of like labelling a bottle " Calcium " when the ingredient in

the tablets inside is calcium ascorbate, i.e. Vitamin C!!!

Or, in the extreme, trying to convince people to drink potassium cyanide

because it is a good source of " Potassium " ?

My point is that Thorne's Captomer _is_ in fact DMSA, a good thing in

this particular case. But this is a very slippery road to go down to

avoid FDA inquisition.
