Ok, so this has advanced to eyelashes and eyebrows now (some leg hair as

well.. )

It seems that its easily breaking off in the eyebrows and falling out a lot

in the eyelashes.

I am thinking two things:

1. Alopecia - which is possible I suppose since its autoimmune and I

just had a winrho (rhogam) 7 weeks ago and that can stir up autoimmunity (I

think it triggered my celiac with my son). It was postpartum and it took 3

days for me to finally take it.. oh and I know for sure my joints are NOT

happy since then. but that happened last time.

2. Thyroid.

I went to my doctor yesterday and he wont test anything beyond a TSH. which

I guess is a starting point. He actually yelled at me in his office that he

was sick and tired of me. I had scalp hair loss last year that resolved with

pregnancy so he thinks I am a hypochondriac (oh and I asked for blood levels

of heavy metals in my son after his hair test,, which he then told me was

completely useless and doesn't show anything.. and only are a waste of

money.. so he had to bring up the useless labs I ask for) He also told me

the other hairs wouldn't be falling out unless my scalp hairs did first.

Is it possible that folate could do it? I took some methylated b's before I

noticed this happen, with some active folate.. (calcium folinate, 5-methyl

tetrahydrofolate and metafolin).. It seems possible this is hypothyroid only

because my throat is sore (I thought it was a cold) and this very similar to

how I felt a couple of years ago when I tried one Lithium Orotate. I had

sore throat/goiter.. and I remember my eyebrows breaking off when I tried to

pluck them too.

Anyways.. that's as far as I have got so far. As usual.. any help is

appreciate.

At my house, biotin deficiency caused hair to fall out. Thyroid problems did

to a lesser extent.

At my house, this was caused by biotin deficiency and hypothyroid.

B vitamins will tend to increase yeast, and the body will use up its biotin

stores to try to combat the yeast. So it might be that. Try increasing your

biotin, see if that helps.

I corrected thyroid issues here with selenium, iodine, and tyrosine.
