Guest guest
Hello all, I have started my 3 years old daughter on DMG two days back. I'm dosing her 125 mg/day of DMG and 400 mcg/day of folic acid. She has absent seizures and she is on anticonvulsant med for the same. Her seizures are about 80% controlled at present. However, in past two days I have seen increase in her absent seizures than usual. Could it be due to Folic acid? as I read in past messages that folic acid can cause seizures in epileptic patients? What should be the right dosage for a 3 yrs old? Also, I want to start her on GABA and Taurine. What should be the right dosage for that? thank you, Shruti. I used TMG for my son. He required much more folic than that, plus carnitine. It also tended to increase yeast for him. > Could it be due to Folic acid? as I read in past messages that folic acid can cause seizures in epileptic patients? You can try folinic, see if that helps. > Also, I want to start her on GABA and Taurine. What should be the right dosage for that? My son did not tolerate GABA. He did very well with taurine, I started him at 250mg. Dana
