Hello all,

I have started my 3 years old daughter on DMG two days back. I'm dosing her 125

mg/day of DMG and 400 mcg/day of folic acid.

She has absent seizures and she is on anticonvulsant med for the same. Her

seizures are about 80% controlled at present. However, in past two days I have

seen increase in her absent seizures than usual.

Could it be due to Folic acid? as I read in past messages that folic acid can

cause seizures in epileptic patients?

What should be the right dosage for a 3 yrs old?

Also, I want to start her on GABA and Taurine. What should be the right dosage

for that?

thank you,

Shruti.

I used TMG for my son. He required much more folic than that, plus carnitine.

It also tended to increase yeast for him.

You can try folinic, see if that helps.

My son did not tolerate GABA. He did very well with taurine, I started him at

250mg.
