Guest guest
Sadie: It certainly sounds like you have all the symptoms for RA. Suggest you make an appointment ASAP with a Rheumatologist. In the interim, Google Arthritis for you'll find all kinds of very informative answers to your questions. Be positive and courageous and remember you are not alone in this battle. JD Sadie Stone <sadiestone@...> wrote: Hi all:I have not yet been to see a doctor. Guest guest
Sadie- It sounds like you have Osteo or degenerative arthritis in your hip and lower back. You probably have RA but cant assume anything until you see a Rheumatologist. He will do blood tests and take x-rays first. If you need more information try www.arthritisfoundation.org. Getting old doesnt account for ignoring your pain. So many people do though. You are not alone. Believe me, usually when RA hits you, you cant ignore it because it debilitates you. Get a referral to a Rheumatologist and let us know when your appointment is. Yours, Deborah On 2/22/06, Sadie Stone <sadiestone@...> wrote: Hi all:I have not yet been to see a doctor. Guest guest
Yes, Sadie, get thee to a Rheumatologist, but I would say that bilateral symptoms (both hips, both hands, etc.) is a big sign of RA. > > Hi all: > I have not yet been to see a doctor. You should see your doctor about it and find yourself a good Rhumatologists ASAP the sooner you get treatment the less damage will happen to your joints. I wish that doctor who told you that before would have recommended a Rhummy, then you would have to be in the pain your in now. Good Luck! Guest guest
: Thank you so much for your input! With every day that goes by, I am increasingly certain that RA is what I have. I'm going to call a rheumatologist this week. Thanks again Sadie Hi all: > I have not yet been to see a doctor. Two years ago I started having > terrible pain in my left hip.
