Hi all, I haven't posted in about 3 weeks. I had my computer disconnected

due to a move. I was living in an apartment and now once again have a house.

Just got my computer re-connected last night. I've missed alot of posts I

see. There were so many I had to delete some, and I hate to do that because

I miss some important information and new subscribers. I just couldn't keep

up. Welcome to all the new members. I see there's a few and hi to the old

members, missed you.

For the new members, my name is and I live in Louisiana. I was

diagnosed with AIH in Nov 1999 after a severe battle of jaundice, loss of

appetite and overall fatigue. My internist thought first it was a thyroid

problem. but after several test, he knew I had some type of hepatitis. He

sent me to a gastro doc who, after running more tests, diagnosed the AIH. I

was on Prednisone for about 6 months along with Imuran. After I went into

remission I was removed the Prednisone, however, still take the Imuran 150

mgs. I'm still in remission and have blood tests about every 8 weeks. This

disease has really changed my life. For example, just moving I almost passed

out several times due to exhaustion. Before AIH, I didn't tire out so

easily. I've also started taking a kick boxing class, hoping to regain some

strength.

, I read your post with tears in my eyes. I know having a sick child is

so much more worse than being sick yourself. I'll pray for you and your

daughter.

I'll try to stay in contact with you guys more now that I'm back on.

Everyone, take care and hope you're feeling good..................Hugs,

in LA AIH 99'

Hi Judy:

Where do you get your pork? Sounds like I'd like to purchase from

them also. Do they ship?

Thanks,

Marla

so am being very cautious now. My lard is extremely pure (yes, I am

biased). I have met the piggy it came from and the wonderful

caretakers, who talk to the pigs and scratch their bellies upon

request - and they get a request very frequently. They have lush

lush pasture and wooded forage all the time and only small amounts of

locally grown no-chemical soaked corn, then are very humanely

killed. The pigs are not your modern ultra-bred-for-no-fat pig, but

very fat roly poly porky pigs - they are mixed Georgia swamp hog and

Russian wild boar.

feel completely safe putting it on my skin. I know what I get is

fresh! Now I must admit I had not done that until reading these

posts. When I slice up bacon and it gets all over my hands, I just

rub it in.

Good Morning Mjh,

I wanted to ask you a question...

do you give charlie 4 tsps of the coconut oil just like that...?? or do you

put in food or in a drink?

can you cook with it? salad dressings, and foods that call for oil, can you

just substitute the Oil, with the coconut oil?

thank you V

Love

Virgin coconut oil and other coconut products are dietary staples of many

cultures around the globe where coconuts grow in abundance.

Charlie gets most of his 4daily TABLESPOONS (two ounces) of virgin coconut

oil mixed with yoghurt, flaxseed oil and ground flaxseed and embellished with

fruits, cereal or whatever. He also likes it straight off the spoon.

We also use coconut oil in most of our cooking.

THe MCTs in coconut oil PLUS its monolaurin are important not only for

'greasing' his brain but also supporting his immune system. His body no longer

responds to oral antibiotics.

Just pretend that virgin coconut oil is extra virgin olive oil......

>>>I was working full time as well until today when I started disability.

Congrats!

Does this mean you can still be working while you apply for SSDI? Or do

you have to have no income at all?

Thx,

http://www.ssa.gov/disability/

There are two different social security

programs for disabilities, one based on your social security contributions but

not based on need (SSDI) and the other based on need but not on social security

contributions (SSI). The rules keep changing but this site should have the

official version. God bless.

I was told that you can NOT be working. But you can be drawing STD

or LTD...short and long term disability. But you can not be

gainfully employed.
