Guest guest
Unfortunately this is one of the side effects of treatment. It is NOT a good reason to stop treatment. My hair fell out, but NOT completely. It just got thin. As soon as treatment is over, his hair will come back. Buy him a hat or two!! Don't let him quit treatment just because of this. It is a vanity thing, and can be very depressing to see your hair falling out, but it won't fall out totally and isn't forever! Tell him to hang in there and think of the little kids who lose their hair totally from the chemo they take. If the little kids can handle it, so can we!! Guest guest
I read about that, I will be taking interferon. I figure If I start to loose it I will first cut it. My hair is really long and curly, so I figure I will chop it to my shoulders. If it gets really bad, my mom said she would have a wig made for me. I don't think it will go that far, I think it might be one of the rare side affects. But we do get our info from Dr's. We all know how much they know about HAC. Guest guest
Locks of Love would like to have your hair for cancer patients who take about 10 times the amount of interferon that we do. My Nephew is growing his hair out to donate in honor of his school bus driver who was going thru chemo and lost her hair. Please consider this before letting someone throw your hair to the floor. It has to be " harvested " a special way. Some hairdressers know about this......and some don't. Probably easiest to call a few salons to see .....if you are really gonna cut it off..... Just a thought. Emo

Guest guest
Hi Shruti, When my son's hair started to fall, I've added zinc and selenium, 25 and 100mcg. It helped to stop hair loss.We are not chelating yet though. Best wishes, Asem From: shrutidoshi79 <shrutidoshi79@...> Subject: [ ] Hair falling Date: Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 10:22 PM  Hello, We have completed two rounds of chelation now. My daughter (3 yrs old) is on various supplements, mainly the onces suggested by Dr. Andy Cutler. I've noticed her hair falling down easily and frequently while combing or with slight touch. What could be the possible reason? Any deficiency or too much supplement? Please advise. Shruti.
Guest guest
It's definately deficiency. Mickie went through that back in 2006. I upped his supplements and never again. He has grown the nicest head of hair. Does she have malabsorbion by any chance? Guest guest
Hair loss is a symptom of hypothyroid, esp low T3. Is she getting any adrenal support? I would give selenium twice a day and let her eat roasted seaweed if she likes that. It can also be biotin deficiency. What could be the possible reason? Any deficiency or too much supplement? At my house, this problem was caused by biotin deficiency and hypothyroid. Because it appears to be related to chelation, try increasing biotin. The body uses biotin to control yeast, so the biotin her body has, is probably being used up for yeast control.
