Guest guest
We are dealing with the same thing. It's been going on for months and now dd's hair is starting to thin...Not Good! In the last week, I ran across a lot of info on demodex mites, which one of my dogs definitely has. I knew he had mites, but didn't know what kind. Started him on a dip I found on Earth Clinic a few weeks back and his hair has stopped falling out. Out of desperation, I " dipped " my dd about 2 hours ago. I used one of the recommended rinse remedies I found on Curezone or EC (can't remember which), and we are praying this will start to turn things around. We have tried many shampoos, oils, treatments, supplements, but nothing has helped for more than a hot minute. She also has acne, which we've been fighting for even longer than the scalp problem. At one time, we were using tons of stuff for her face and it was calming down a bit. At the same time, scalp issues started. Almost like it migrated... Recently, I noticed that one of the forms of " acne " is moving from her face onto her upper torso. She's 14 and doesn't care about anything but clearing her skin and face. We're stuck in a holding pattern until I get it resolved, because she is scared chelation will cause the acne and scalp problems to worsen. If we actually get improvement with this, I'll post. As of now, she is not itching. Normally, she is itching before her hair dries. The description you give sounds just like Tay, as far as having a dry and flaky scalp, but greasy hair. Darla [ ] ot - yucky sculp Date: Sunday, February 7, 2010, 8:38 PM I'm so sick of my yucky sculp. I've added biotin to my supplements, my feet have improved so much, folic also helped too I think my nasty dry feet. Now, I wish this would spread north and fix the sculp. Itching, flaking. Yes, use all the medicated shampoo, doesn't do the trick. Prednisone always gives me beautiful skin. Anyone, cure that issue? Thanks in advance. At my house, both acne and scalp issues were caused by yeast overgrowth. I increased the yeast protocol, both issues would go away. > She's 14 and doesn't care about anything but clearing her skin and face. > We're stuck in a holding pattern until I get it resolved, because she is > scared chelation will cause the acne and scalp problems to worsen. Chelation did increase yeast here, so if her acne and scalp issues are caused by yeast like they were at my house, then you will need a good yeast protocol. Biotin and GSE worked best here. > The description you give sounds just like Tay, as far as having a dry and > flaky scalp, but greasy hair. Yep, that was yeast here.
