Guest guest
When we went gfcf/sf our son became noticeably calmer. For him, gluten, dairy and soy, made him hyper and crazy, this is not so for all. However, this diet combined with low sugar, yeast fighting etc, all helped to calm him down. Some find magnesium and taurine helpful also for calming. Dietary peptides as well as gut bugs, yeast, parasites, bacteria etc, these can lead to hyperactivity. Have you tried any dietary eliminations to see if that made a difference? Also, does your child have gut issues? Yeast can lead to night waking as well. Just some thoughts for you. Guest guest
My son began to sleep much better once on the diet. It all but eliminated his stomach pain, so he could sleep. However we did have to include 1/2 mg of melatonin thirty minutes before bed. Haven
Guest guest
Not so much for us. We found that soy made his hyperactivity even worse, so we pulled that. Removing nitrates and other additives has helped some as well. But for my son, Sensory integration therapy has been the biggest help. Thats really helped with focus and calming.
