Guest guest
Hello Group,  Sorry if my questions sounds silly: I just realized that the bike that we bought our son couple months ago is made of not steel, but alluminium.  It's a good quality, from one of the big sport stores in Vienna, and it's NOT HEAVY.  Would you keep such a thing for your child, or would you get rid of it right away? Thanks in advance, Asem  Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post | Start a New Topic Messages in this topic (18) Recent Activity: New Members 19 Visit Your Group =======================================================
Guest guest
Keep it, just let your child use hand gloves when using it (anyway, the handles must be some kind of acrylic-plastic), your child is not having a kind of contact with it that might put him to the danger of ingestion. Guest guest
Isa, thanks for your reply. I try to not get kind of paranoidal, but there was a topic on 10 top things to be out of the house. As I remember, alluminium was in top three of them. I don't think he'll use gloves though, he sometimes even wants to ride it barefoot,  so I am really thinkin hard. Thank you once again. Guest guest
I don't think touching aluminum is an issue, it's eating it. Cookware is the major offender, as well as aluinum foil used in cooking, I wouldn't worry about the bike. Hope he enjoys it.
