Guest guest
Hello All, I have uploaded hair tests (A10.jpg and E5.jpg) for my two boys and would appreciate help interpreting them. I have been reading here for several months and have learned so much, have also read AI, but not sure I'm clear on what the results mean. Am also really concerned/discouraged abt aluminum levels...feel like after finding this group and Andy's book I finally feel comfortable with chelating, and was shocked when the results came back for the high Al. Feel like I finally know what to do if tests came back for Hg, but don't see much good news out there abt successfully removing Al, and have read that it needs to go first before Hg will come out. Maybe I need the HTI book for more info? Don't have it yet, but will get it if I need to. Thank you (so much) in advance. Can post with all symptoms/issues if that helps for interpretation. -
Guest guest
Hi It would have been more helpful to have the ages as DDI has been known to make mistakes. Anyway, providing that the correct ref.ranges were used A10 meets the counting rules for mercury. AC chelation is rcommended. Fast metabolism: Digestive Enzymes recommended. E5, Counting rules not met although with high Aluminium could possibly be due to Mercury retaining Aluminium, either way reducing exposure should be helpful. http://www.danasview.net/metals.htm A trial of 5-10 rounds Andy Cutler chelation might be worth considering. Very Fast metabolism= Digestive Enzymes. Kenny > > Hello All, > > I have uploaded hair tests (A10.jpg and E5.jpg) for my two boys and would appreciate help interpreting them. Guest guest
Thanks, Kenny, for your reply. Sorry for the lack of info, it was late when I posted. A10.jpg is my (85 lb)10 year-old: very bright, outgoing, social kid, does well in school. He's my " neurotypical " kid, if there is such a thing these days. Wanted to compare the tests, b/c it's my younger one (details below) that has spectrum issues. A does however have mild sensory--touch/taste issues (HATES tags, scratchy clothing, etc) and has been a VERY picky eater since 12-15 months of age but it has improved slowly over time. Terrible handwriting (dysgraphia?) as well. Maybe that's just typical " boy " stuff? Will try the enzymes as you suggested, and I think a trial of AC chelation. You said he's a " fast metabolizer. " Does this warrant a thyroid check? I have a personal history, diagnosed with Graves' disease 8 months after he was born. My (42 lb) 5-yr-old (E5.jpg in the hair test file) was constipated from 1 week of age, that began to alternate with all-day-long loose stools/diarrhea around 15 months, constant bloated belly, foul-smelling stools and gas. He was developing fairly typically, had a few words, but everything stopped around 27 months. He avoided kids, didn't respond to his name, couldn't imitate anything, was sensory-seeking, couldn't feel pain, LOTS of visual self-stims, had (undiagnosed) " absence " seizures, didn't know what they were at the time. Casein, then soy, then gluten-free diet resolved gut issues in 6 months, we added lots of biomed stuff: MB12 shots, minerals, mito cocktail, EFA's, yeast control. E just turned 5, spent last year in a typical preschool with a little extra help. He's now a happy child that talks, asks questions, has little friends. He has improved in all areas, but still struggles with expressive language delay, good but sometimes very slow cognitive/auditory processing, light sensitivity, delays in imaginative play skills. He's a little " spacey " at times, some ADD (never hyper, more on the " under-active " side), but it's not too much of a problem. We feel so blessed he's come so far, I don't want to " rock the boat. " Maybe the issues we have left are just the result of derailed early development and will only be resolved with time and rehabilitative ed. therapies, BUT, if we've missed anything, i.e. heavy metal burden, I don't want to stop short of helping him be healthier. I'm also worried abt my autoimmune thyroid history, that if metal detox/methylation problems precede these things, I could avoid that for my boys in the future by chelating now? If addressing any metal burden he may have would also help him lose food sensitivities, that would be a bonus as well (he's still GF/CF/SF, but hasn't reacted to small, recent planned infractions). I'm sorry this is so long, I hope the details shed some light and the test was correct for age reference ranges. Thanks again for the help. I don't know how you guys keep up with it all, but it is very much appreciated! --
