I would strongly recommend stopping IV glutathione immediately it can cause a

lot of metal redistrubution and make things much worse in the long run.

What about Vitamin C IVs? Would that be ok during chelation off days?

Thanks,

Ruta

Hi Ruta

Why do you have to give IVs? surely giving vit C orally 3-4 times per day is

cheaper, less traumatic, less dangerous and more convenient and can be quite

effective.

Hi Kenny,

I was just thinking that absorption via IV would be better and therefore the

body would benefit more.

Is there reliable evidence showing you can boost intracellular glutathione

levels with IV glutathione? I'm not sure, but I don't think it is an issue of

'aborption', but one of aiding the body in it's own production of glutathione

and removing toxic exposures that cause the body to use up it's glutathione

reserves.

When deciding if you want to actually use glutathione, I think you also have to

look at the plasma levels of cysteine. If cysteine is elevated, I think using

glutathione can be harmful (along with NAC, cysteine, whey protein, high sulfur

foods).

Honestly, it has been several years since I've read about this. I learned by

experience that attempting to boost glutathione levels with glutathione was not

helpful (and even caused problems) here.

Hi Ruta

You are right absorption would be better, but I personally would not do this

routinely. I would only consider this if there was a recent high exposure to

mercury such as amalgam fillings removal, but not for a 3yr old after every

round of chelation, especially if chelating appropriately with Andy Cutler's

protocol.
