I need some info on iv transfusions.

My family is in the middle of a fight with the hospital for my eldest

daughter...doesn't live at home. She is hypersensitive to saline...and I

believe it is from some hyperactive responses from a depleted system. But

this is not my question.

Does anyone have any source references for flushing IV tubing with ringers

instead of saline for a blood transfusion? I know that it is not clearly a

danger....as once thought but the references I have are not connected with the

better sources. If you know of any I would appreciate it greatly....
