We are on day 1 of round 13 (10mg DMSA, 15 mg ALA for 64 pounder). My son just

had some really loose stools with no stomach pain. Have not experienced this

before.

Searched the archive and found something about zinc and diarrhea. Ran out of

zinc so that was missing in the supplements today. We also started Dr.Ron's

fish oil (given in the morning). On 3rd week of humaworm cleanse.

Are the loose stools mercury getting out or his body needing zinc? Have read

that kids urinate more on round. Do they also get looser stools?

Supplements:

Vit C

Dr. Ron's fish oil

Magnesium

Calcium

Q10

Biotin

Selenium

Zinc (missing today)

Probiotics

Oil of Oregano

Humaworm (this month only)

Adrenal Cortex

Taurine

Thanks!

Jo

Jo,

1. Loose Stools and gas are a pretty common side effect upon starting fish

oil...it usually lasts maybe a week and resolves on its own. (I know this from

personal experience..:-))

2. ALA sometimes causes loose stools during a round...not always but sometimes.

The few times it happened to us, my son went back to normal after the round.

3. I doubt the zinc has anything to do with it.

You're also on a humaworm cleanse. But the fish oil could cause this.

zinc doesn't cause loose stools. And it's not mercury getting out or we'd all

have loose stools on rounds.

I vote for the fish oil. It may resolve after he's been on it a few days.

Zinc deficiency can cause diarrhea, so since you did not give zinc that day,

that might have been the cause.
