Need advice on chelation urine test

Hello Everyone- I have to start my son on DMSA and collect urine from him over a

6-8 hour period. Ok so here is my dilemma, he is not potty trained yet and my

doctor said he can only drink water while he is doing the test. My son will not

drink plain water, will it effect the test if I use flavored seltzer water with

a little bit of juice. How do I give it to him, what is the best way to

administer the DMSA. Do I give it to him the the morning before breakfast or

after? Do I skip giving him his vitamins for the day? Any advice on how to do

this would be so greatly appreciated. I have been putting it off for a while

dealing with other treatments, but I have to do it this weekend. Does anyone

know of a more simple way to test for heavy metals? Collecting the urine is

going to be the hardest part. I have those little baggy things that stick around

the penis, but I don't think my 3 year old ASD son will like that very much.
